The furniture of the past and modernity Asher Israelow

Asher Israelow Brooklyn is a New York designer who comes from the world of architecture, a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design. His background is evident in the furniture and realizes: very sharp lines, clever use of materials (different types of wood) and a very concrete in the forms and function of use.

His desk with beautiful tones of walnut and maple contrast, the more interesting his series “Star Map”: tables reminiscent of the dynamics of certain series of spacecraft sci-fi vintage whose shelves are littered with patches of paint like constellations. Discovered by many colleagues and the press during a recent happenings at Workstead study, Israelow designs and manufactures its own furniture, as a true independent producer.
