Prolific Designer, Oki Sato. Perhaps many of you will recognize under the Nendolabel, the name by which he called the his studio. Protagonist of mondile design in recent years, Sato arrives at planning technology for Japanese Elecom company a new mouse that has the ambitious goal to innovate the language and formal characteristics.
The novelty of the concept, not surprisingly, we find from the name, Rinkak, Japanese word that means the silhouette that stands out from the bottom. And here refers to the role played by cable, transformed into the real protagonist of this project thanks to the introduction of four color variables (see the second picture after the jump) and thanks especially to the boundary which outlines and decorates the mouse itself. A nice idea, shame though that Rinkak doesn’t follow the understated elegance that has always characterized the work of Japanese designer, here almost at the mercy of a touch too fun and cartoon.
