“Origami”: the couch and cozy Carlos Tíscar bent like paper

By the Spanish designer Carlos Tíscar this “Origami” sofa designed for the Swedish brand Offecct and presented at the last edition of Stockholm Furniture Fair last month. Modern version of an easy chair with a sloping back and arms, winged, all inspired by the Japanese technique for folding paper.

In addition, the high back of “Origami” offers to those who sit the right posture for computer work or for an intimate conversation. The structure was built in sections of angular lines, has allowed Tíscar to work with contrasts rather than volumes, giving the cabinet at the same time a sense of integrity and high level of comfort.
