In the first building built in Europe by Frank O. Gehry, the Vitra Design Museum in Weil am Rhein, from 2 October 2010 until March 23, 2011, Vitra has an exhibition of his most important projects of the last 13 years. The projects on display in “Frank O. Gehry since 1997, will be presented in large, through detailed studies and models taken from the archive Gehry Partners. The original drawings of the architect and the multitude of models will help the visitor to draw a comprehensive and easily accessible design process.

Twelve projects from which will create a catalog, the exhibition not only presented as building blocks but also in relation to their urban contexts.

Most of the illustrations in the book have never been exposed to date, and include drawings, 3D, models and photographs of the buildings themselves.

Since its architecture derived from sculpture, Frank O. Gehry, could not indulge in frequent raids in the area of design, producing the series for Vitra Easy ecological edge, which includes chairs, armchairs, tables and coffee tables, or Fog Office with desks and bookcases, or even for Belux Cloud lamp, lamp paper that looks like a cloud.

The exhibition is organized by the Triennale of Milan, designed by Germano Celant in collaboration with Frank O. Gehry and Gehry Partners, LLP. Exhibition design by Studio Cerri & Associati.
